Welcome to the Howl bushcraft courses

Learn practical bushcraft and wilderness skills with Howl Bushcraft in beautiful private woodland on the Harewood Estate in Yorkshire. Our hands-on courses range from half-day fire-lighting and outdoor cooking workshops to fully catered weekend bushcraft courses and long-form wilderness training. Complete beginners are warmly welcomed, while experienced outdoor people can develop specialist skills in fire-craft, primitive skills, navigation, foraging, woodcraft and traditional crafts.

  • You do not need to be highly experienced, exceptionally fit or comfortable calling yourself an outdoors person. Our courses are taught in small groups with an emphasis on practical learning, supportive instruction and plenty of time to ask questions.
