On Howl Bushcraft’s Wild Kitchen course, you’ll spend a full day cooking over a campfire using a blend of modern outdoor techniques and traditional, primitive skills. Drawing on years of experience cooking for groups on remote expeditions and at woodland basecamps, we’ll guide you through practical methods that make outdoor food genuinely exciting.

WHAT’S COVERED:
Fire management
Using a fire as a tool: how different arrangements create different effects
getting the most from your fuel: Which woods are best for boiling, roasting, creating ash
Introduction to Dutch Ovens (Cast Iron Pots) for cooking
We'll show you how to look after and use these fantastic pots for a variety of tasks
Starter ingredients: The base camp staples- Flour, Eggs, Sugar, Milk, Butter
We'll make: Bannock, smoked eggs, steamed pudding, flat breads, doughnuts, ponassed fish, roasted meat and vegetables UNDERGROUND... and maybe a few more!
